Management of Unix and NT Intergraph CAD systems. System support of 180+ graphics workstations, Sun and Intergraph servers. Inputting and testing (including PL/SQL) of data in an ORACLE database used to track the authorised machines and users of the vast BAYER CAD system which extended to 4 other sites and to 350+ workstations.

System Outline: 4-5 UNIX (Sun and Intergraph) servers, 180+ Unix (Intergraph, Sun) workstations, 20+ NT workstations.

Management of VMS, Unix and NT CAD/PDS systems. Systems support of 50+ graphics workstations, VAX/VMS, Alpha/VMS, Unix (SunOS, Ultrix, CLIX, IRIX) and NT servers. Installation of system software (on all platforms) and user support over 3 sites in Hammersmith, London.

CAD System Outline: 4 VAX servers, 2 ALPHA servers, 40+Unix W/S, 1 NT server, 4 Sun W/S, 2 Silicon Graphics W/S, 50-60 PC's

Management of Unix and NT Intergraph CAD systems. System support of 180+ graphics workstations and Sun, DEC and Intergraph servers. The major part of this assignment was to write 20,000 lines of kornshell script for a Workstation Manager in-house product to supercede an existing VMS product. User support for PDS and Microstation users.

Customise the Intergraph PDS2D product to the clients requirements and user support for the PDS2D users. Port the product (including customised ORACLE databases) from a VMS to Unix platform.

Management of VMS and Unix Intergraph CAD systems including software installation. System and user support of 40-50 graphics workstations. Support for the Intergraph PDS2D product.

1976 - 1988

Unilever Engineering Ltd., London, UK

Originally employed as an Instrument Designer trained to use Intergraph's IGDS CAD system in 1981/1983. Attended a VMS course in 1985 to assist in the management of the small CAD system whilst continuing as an Intrument Designer. Attended a number of Intergraph PDS courses in 1987 and was given charge of customising the PDS2D products to Unilevers requirements.
