The Chalmers Family

I have made this study of our family (a) for my own interest and (b) to assist any future member of the family who might wish to continue these studies - forward or backward.

It has taken me several years to reach this stage, but I have had pleasure in visiting houses, cemetries, various libraries and offices.

My thanks are due to my brother and sister who have supplied information, documents and old photographs. I should also like to express my gratitiude for the assitance given to me by the staff at the following:
